WEGA KLV-S32A10 32 LCD TV (16:9, 1366x768, HDTV)
This is one of Sony's first TVs to be built in the state-of-the-art LCD factory jointly owned by Sony and Samsung. If you've been unimpressed by earlier generations of LCD sets, you really need to check out the KLV-S32A10. The screen's high pixel count delivers pinpoint detail when fed high-definition signals. And computer text looks razor-sharp on this dual-purpose display. Picture-enhancing features include a light-sensing circuit that automatically adjusts screen brightness to compensate for room lighting. A touch of the remote control takes you to a graphical onscreen guide, which presents a streamlined menu of the most-used functions. Getting to your favorite channels, or choosing from the list of video sources is a snap. DVD movies look exceptional on this set, and you can enjoy HDTV programs if you connect a separate HDTV tuner. There's a built-in standard TV tuner and an up-to-the-minute set of A/V inputs, including component video and direct-digital HDMI. A dedicated PC input lets you easily switch between surfing channels and surfing the Web.
